" What you may not know is that the warranty on the battery in
" a toyota Hybrid has a 8 year 100,000 Mile warranty, in most
" instances the original owner will have sold or traded in the
" car before the battery warranty runs out on it. Honda has a
" sinalr warranty on their Hybrid Battery. I sell both the
" Honda and Toyota Hybrids including the Insight, Civic
" Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, Prius, and Highlander Hybrid. I am
" very familiar with these cars and regularly drive them.
you don't happen to know what the batt replacement cost is, currently?
" The downfall of these cars is the time it will take you to
" recoup your investment over a non Hybrid in a small high
" mileage car. Depending on driving habits and mileage it
" could take 10+ years before you recoup the $5000.00 of
" additional investment from fuel economy savings.
sounds about right for those numbers, but i think the premium is more
like double that, for the prius over a comparable echo, and that's
before you count battery life.
