I'd like to add:
javelin -(red,blue,green)
Matches javelins that don't also say red, blue, etc.
However, I'm not sure you can put wildcards in () lists.
eBay automatically matches plurals; searching for "carb" will
match "carb" or "carbs". I do what Bill does though, and routinely
search for carb*
Here's my most generic hornet parts search:
(hornet,gremlin) -(honda,hat,ad,wiring,brochure,trailer,sheets,hudson,labels)
(No offense meant to Hudson Hornets.)
