Mispelled words are no problem in eBay all you have to do is know how to search. First make sure your auto complete is on Tools> Internet Options> Content> Auto Complete check web forms Then to search lets say you want to search for Javelin type jav* in the box and you'll get everything that begins with jav javelin javilen javalen etc. Sure you'll get some junk but you'll find all the javelin stuff no matter how it's spelled. The * is called a wild card and it tells the computer to search for anything after the letters that come before it. You can use this in any eBay of google search. too much for you OK how about this: (javelin, javelen, javalen, javilan, javilen) or as many variations as you want to use. Now notice the format because it is important. Parenthesis then separate each word with a comma no space close parenthesis. You can use multiple entries as such: (hubcap*,wheelcover*) (amc, american motors, rambler) this will give all amc american motors & rambler wheelcover(s) and hubcap(s) if you did not put the * you would only get wheelcover and hubcap adding an s would only get you wheelcovers and hubcaps but not wheelcover or hubcap. The difference is 32 vs 54 entries when I just checked a few minutes ago. How about this: rambler -amc -bicycle -bike -boot* -coach -fostoria -handbag -hornby -holiday -jeans -knife -lauren -levi* -pendelfin -purse* -quilt -roberts -rose -seed* -sheppard -shoe* -wild -yarn This is a customized search that eliminates all words after the minus. You must separate the entries with a space between words. Eliminates all of the junk you do not want. Still more: 198* ford parts (book*,manual*) This search returns all 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, etc 1989 ford parts book(s) or manual(s) One line gets me a whole lotta search without the junk. Zeros in on exactly what I am looking for. Still more: 200* pontiac (album, banner, book, dealership, manual, poster) -mirror -owner* This search returns 2000, 2001, 2002 etc 2005 pontiac album, banner etc poster but minus the junk I am not interested in. You can combine to your hearts content. The key is format. Follow my examples and you'll be just fine. Now you say that is great but who wants to do all that typing. Not me that's for sure. That is why I said to make sure auto complete is on. Each search will be entered just once. Then from the search box on the items page (the page that has items you just searched for) when you type in the first letter of your new search and you have typed it once before it will appear below the box, just click it and it will go into the search box and then click search. I have maybe 100 different searches saved like that and I can go through them in about 15 min. Hope this helps Bill Strobel Independent Towing Fayetteville NC __________________________________ Yahoo! Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005 http://mail.yahoo.com
