  What you should find is a bolt holding an oil filter adapetr onto the block.
There is an O-ring kit for it, I don't have the part number. It should be avalable most places by now. Take the filter off. Take the large bolt out. Take the adapter off and replace all the O-rings. Line up the small dowell and reassemble it. The leak should be solved.
  You may be able to tighten the bolt if it is loose, but I doubt this will solve all the leakage problem.
 IIRC, The light is a milage triggered light telling you to change the fluid in the transfer case. Or, that the fluid level is low.
