Re: '94 Jeep cherokee, going once...SOLD! THanks to all info-providers...

Jerry,
You can get a solid 1 mpg improvement on gas mileage with the Jeep easy!
Make sure the aux electric fan works O.K.
Go find a second electric fan the will fit the right side of the radiator.
Tie it in to the existing wiring with a second relay and you are done. Throw the mechanical fan away!
You will notice the Jeep will get up to about 218* before the elctric fans kick on, but this won't hurt anything if everything is in good shape. You can also add a electric Tstat to the second fan and have it come on at 200 or so if you want. I ran my 96 with the aforementioned add on second fan that came on at 218* never had any problems and it did improve the fuel mileage a solid 1 mpg. At $3 a gallon its a savings worth getting!
I did the same on my S10 and saw similar improvement.
I just added a 1" tbody spacer to the S10 too. I've heard reports of the Jeeps getting a solid .8 mpg improvement with the spacer. I have to run a tank or so of fuel out before I see if it actually helps the economy of the S10 though. Seems to run a touch better, seat of the pants impression!
You can get a spacer for under $40 for the Jeep.
A few simple tricks to your jeep and you should be able to get it up to close to 20 mpg range easy! With the A/C off.
