Internally, the distributors are the same. The lower body and shaft are different for AMC and Chevy. You can gut the the Chevy distro and put the parts inside an AMC, that's the best you can do, and will make a difference because of the recurving. Change weights, springs and all. While you're at it you might wantto check the shaft bushings in the AMC body and see if they need replacing.
