Old used carbs are often a major pain in the butt, if they're willing to "pay a handasome price" they should look at www.nationalcarburetors.com . It'll work perfectly, for years, right out of the box (will need idle set), first time. Over-the-counter rebuild quality has dropped so much as to be useless for our old stuff, there's not many good cores left and rebuilders don't seem to generally give a crap (or know anything). Even NOS will probably have dried up gaskets and rubber.

hello, My father and I are restoring a 1966 rambler classic 770 as a gift to my mother. The car has been in our family since it was new. The only part that we are having difficulty locating is a carbureator. I was wondering if you could help. the car has the original 232 straight six. If you have this part and are willing to part with it we would be willing to pay a handsome price.
Thanks Tom
