Re: Seat Covers - '67 Rogue

I've had good luck with Autocraft brand covers. They are heavy enough to use without the original upholstery (remove the original), but you'll need to put some 1/4" foam on the seat and back if you do. There may also be uncovered spots near the seat hinges on the bottom. I got around that the one time I used them after removing the original covers by placing similar colored material (close as I could get locally) over the area that would show and used a little cloth tape (well under cover) and a few hog rings to hole it there. If the original cover has hard plastic "piping" around the edges and it's cracked up, REMOVE IT! If not, the broke edges of the piping will wear through the cover -- any need to ask how I know? J.C. Whitney carries the Autocraft covers as well as cheaper brands. I've used all vinyl, all velour, and (my favorite) tweed and velour covers from Autocraft. They look "period", and some would pass for factory unless you knew better. Of course that depends on !
the style and colors you select. The tweed and vinyl can be ordered in many color combos -- you specify the color of the vinyl (around edges and back) and tweed (seat front and back) separately. The tweed is durable and comfortable, and oyu can have some real interesting color combos! Not sure if they would have the armrest cover. You can order material by the yard if needed also. The last time I used the tweed and vinyl I ordered extra tweed to cover the door panels. I'm still using the door panels, but changed from bench to nice power bucket seats.

I am in an area where the choices for upholsterers is few and they all have quoted rip-off prices and long delivery times. This is a daily driver those options don't fit the game plan. Pleasepitch in with recommendations, advice, experience, etc.
