I specifically ASKED him about permits, and whether they required the work be done by a licensed contractor, or whether I could do it myself, and he said by yourself. So, I suppose if I do the work RIGHT, it'll be ok. LOL. This IS a country area, too. He had no problem with what I wanted to do, when I mentioned it. All he said was get a SINGLE permit to cover EVERYTHING I wanted to do : roof, electrical, plumbing, modifications, etc. It would be cheaper for one permit than coming back for multiple permits. I don't know how long the permit actually LASTS, whether indefinite, 6 months, a year, etc. I don't think I will do all the work at once, can't afford to. Will only do the minimum required to get what I need done, done. And the rest can wait awhile. So I doubt I'll have any problems, but I will probably get estimates from a licensed contractor who's done the work before, and if it's not outrageous, then I will get 'er done! :) - Jerry - __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
