Nice looking car!

The hood ornament is the same from 66-68. They have been reproduced in the 
past but I don't know of anyone who has them at the moment. They do turn up 
NOS from time to time but can be pricey. South Texas AMC 
(http://southtexasamc.tripod.com) sells a sticker type emblem (like what GM 
used in the late 60's up through whenever they quit putting grille badges 
on cars) that's intended to take up the space of the original once you 
remove the metal backing. The part is a little oversized to take up the 
space normally occupied by the backing but can trimmed to fit in the metal 
backing.

How bright is your alternator light? If it's just a faint glow, that's normal.

The un-level stance may be worn leaf springs. From the pictures, it looks 
like the rear passenger tire is tucked up a little more than the driver's 
side (the center of the hub cap should just about line with the bottom of 
the quarter panel at the wheel opening).

Also, there are several places that sell AMC parts that may be near you. 
They advertise with the AMC Rambler Club (http://www.amcrc.com).
