Re: Well now isn't that special!

As I copied the reply to Jerry to the list, I'm into this thing for $600.
But after going over it I'm still ticked about the outright disshonesty of some of the information I received on this car. As in, The interior is perfect, The dirvers seat has one 3" tear and the passenger is good. In reality they are both falling apart at the seams.
He also told me the water came up the top of the seat cushions and bottom of the dash but not into the gauges and there is dirty water lines halfway across the inside of the gauges and even a water line across the edge of the windshield.
I'm going to do OK on the thing, but I certainly did not steal the thing, nor get what I was expecting. I'm in love with the tilt column! and steering wheel. PERFECT!
I am going to be looking for a 12.7-1 Steering box so I can keep the big funky steering wheel! I hope all goes well this Friday/weekend as I hope to get this mostly apart and get the convertible into the shop and have it ready to start doing some actual construction!

>Well, it all depends on just how much you have tied up in the car. If $500 or less sounds like after you get the parts you need want you probably broke even. If more, well, you took a bit of trouncing, but ya gotta gamble on one every now and then.
