Yeah,
I knew that going in. This job had me so tied up that I couldn't make the two hour drive to check it out and tow it home. So I took the risk.
I am really impressed with how perfect the Tilt column and steering wheel is in this car.
It's a little pricey at $600, but, try and find a floor shift tilt column for an Ambassador or classic. That is my happy thought! I'm also findign out all the chrome on the console is muche nicer than the original from my Convertible. It will end up being a lot of little stuff that will make this work out. I'm going to take the front drums up to my dad and get them turned to see if they survived. If so I may send them out and have them drilled and try them on the front of the convertible. I can put drilled drums on the front for about $150-$200 total and I'm looking at $350 to do discs. So, I'm thinking about it, but not sure.
I'm taking the rest of the week off and Friday will be a work day on this 990 to see what I can get out of the interior before it gets any worse!
