Bryan, did you try other years? 73 would have the Kelsey Hayes of Big Bendix brakes. Master cylinder is virtually the same for Ambo/Matador through 1978. The only difference might be the size of the fittings and what side they come out on. Most of the later models have left side fittings on the MC. If you have room and don't mind re-routing lines or using adapters if necessary (or replacing one of the lines between master and combo valve) you can use a later model. Might be bale to find one of those locally.
