Since the 327 uses a standard Holley pattern carb, I'd go to a speed shop and get a generic spring and bracket. Anyone who sells Holley carbs should have one -- or that carries "Mr. Gasket" rack speed parts. The clunk is likely an inner A arm bushing. Check those and tie rod ends. I suspect an A arm bushing because the bushing "sets" going forward and stays there, but when you back up and put on brakes it moves. It's most likely an upper A arm bushing, not the lower. Turning will put more pressure on one of the upper bushings depending on the direction of turn. Have the bushings ever been changed? This just started and I sure would like to know what it is. As always any and all help is appreciated. > > > > > > Bargain Bob Petersen > > AMC Car Collector > > _______________________________________________ > Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com > The most personalized portal on the Web! ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
