A: Could be a 230 OHC or swapped in later motor (or same vintage as your Rambler) Lay you odds it won't start because the ignition condenser has packed it in. (look for spark and if it's yellow, replace the condenser) From: oconner_us@xxxxxxxxx Subject: jeep questions To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx Message-ID: <ADVANCES62FRaqbC8wS00000014@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Ok, I can't believe I am doing this. I am desperately attempting to get rid of my jeep wagoneer and I am now getting a 1968 Jeep pickup. Is there some kind of counseling for this sickness? Ok, so I am getting a 1968 Jeep pickup. I haven't seen it yet, the guy said he can't get it running and is just too frustrated with it to mess with it anymore. Has a 6 cylinder, he said he thinks it is the 232. Would that be correct? Also has 3 speed. At this point that is all I know, I am going to try to go look at it tomorrow. Now, the questions. As I already asked, would this be the 232? If so, what is the difference between a 232 in a 1966 Rambler Classic and a 1968 Jeep Pickup? If I decide not to keep this thing would there be any interest in it? not sure yet what I am going to do with it. I might keep it and fix it, I might sell it off or I might part it out. Alot depends on the condition. Will post more details once I get a look at it.
