Bon Ami is indeed a great glass cleaning product, but beware and do it before you wash your car!
 The white powder makes a mess!
Last time I did the wifes car I went out in light rain and sprinkled it on the windshield and scrubbed away. Then we drove off in the rain and let the rain do the final rinse. Worked great.
Probably wouldn't work well to try this in Southern California in the dry season!!!! :]
