I will say it one more time. The heart of any automobile is it's engine.
If the engine is a Chevy, then the car in question may just as easily be a
Chevy. Besides, how many AMC cars have you seen which were restored to
AMC specs and then fitted with a bastard engine ? Hhmmmm?
If anyone wants to be included when the Rebel runs again they will hold
their piece about supporting bastard AMCs. I will tell you that.
I usually try to be democratic. Screw you if you can't fit in
and if you do let me know. I will start to keep a list of people who
insist on AMC power.
               Your AMC Friend,
                Gary Walker

Gary,Tho i agree that an AMC sans its AMC engine has lost some of it soul but non AMC power is a nessesary evil as the alternative most of the time is the AMC body being turned into beer cans and razor blades.I love AMCs for thier underdog status and i'm giddy as a mofo when i hear or see a AMC pwd AMC beating the big 3 on the dragstrip.I know i sound like i've contradickedt myself and it wasn't that long ago when i wished hge amouths of cess filled death to those who ran alternative powerplants in thier AMCs,but i've opened my eyes a lil bit more. The day comes i cannot find or buy anything for an AMC powerplant my Gremlin is getting a 392 or 426 Hemi.
