throttle cables

ahhhhhhh icic so they dont all have the linkage bracket? well i would guess they wouldn't realy... if you had a standard there is no reason to have it right
ok i can see the V8 cable being shorter than a no linkage I6 cable. but the one i had was WAY short anyway
thanks!

You have an I6, it has 6 cylinders in a row, the cab sits in the middle
of the intake. That means it has 3 cylinders in front of it, and three
behind. The V-8 has 4 cylinders per side, the carb sits in the middle of
the intake, that is 2 cylinders in front of it, and two behind .So you
would have at least the cyl bore and spacing difference from the 8 to the
6, that would dictate a shorter cable. Some of the I6s have longer cables
then other I6s as the cable does not go to the carb, but a throttle
linkage bracket. SO, once again, I have ( had) a new N.O.S. V-8 cable,
and IT IS way SHORTER THEN THE I6.
