Actually, they should fit going back to the '64 models.  The actual underdash unit is just a face/housing.  You need the evap which is behind the dash and the underdash unit attaches to.  The heater/evap unit housings are different between AC and non-AC cars.  You have to have the entire assembly for a stock setup.  I learned the hard way!

I have two of these set-ups, but I'm not really interested in getting rid of them as it took me ~3 yrs to collect it all!  I figure to install one, and keep the other for parts, and I'll pick up more if I find them and the price is right!  I love the '64-9 Americans, but I always look to see that they have the stock AC parts.  Not a common option, but more plentiful here in the South.
