Neil; what Armand meant with the steel plate, I think, is what I did several years ago. You make a plate (I used 1/8" cold steel plate) and drill the four mounting holes. Now lower the top two holes to the bottom position and you are in affect making a plate with six holes. You can then bolt the things together. Be sure to gusset the whole thing and use grade 8 bolts. I didn't notice any unusual effects but I wasn't running it hard, either. I did this on my Gremlin and ran for a year that way, then got the bug and dropped in a 390, narrowed Econoline front axle, homemade tubs from pickup fenders, yadda, yadda.....Russ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
