As for the drains on the V8 blocks, there are two, one on each side.  I 
replace mine with all brass cock valves.   These can be purchased at 
plumbing supply houses.   Get 1/4 inch male X 1/4 inch female and get a 1/4 
inch male brass barbed hose fitting to screw into the valve.  You can put a 
length of tubing on if you want.
