I don't beleive I have seen a sportabout before but when I saw this one I was very interested. It is attractive. One could even say they are sexy....ok, one could say that but maybe one shouldn't.

If the price is right, even high mileage wouldn't discourage me too much. I didn't have time to really look it over but I did notice the drivers fender was crumpled some but that was the only body damage I noticed but I don't know how much rust it may have. Will have to see. He had a Ford wagon (Tempo or or Escort or something like that) sitting next to it. He said that when the alternator went out his inlaws gave him the ford so he parked the hornet. The ford had spent most of its life being towed behind a motor home so it had high miles but had very few actual driving miles when he got it. The water pump went out on that so instead of fixing it he just bought another car. He has 2 other dead cars sitting in the field too. Seems to be the kind of person that if a vehicle gets "injured" he just drags it out to the pasture to die and moves on to another one.

If it has an auto and is in decent shape I will most likely keep it and fix it up. If it has a standard tranny I will pass it on, I don't do well with clutches.

As far as I am concerned there is no such thing as too many AMC's. But try telling that to my mom and my sister. If I do get this thing I am going to have to try to find a way to hide it until I get rid of the jeep. I currently have 5 vehicles. The classic is in my sisters back yard, the american is in the storage yard at work (and the boss and his wife are harrassing me about getting it out of there), the jeep is on the street in front of my sisters house, the pickup is on the street in front of my house and I drive the eagle and park it in front of my house. My dad currently has one pickup in front of each house, a jeep in front of my sisters house and a jeep in my sisters back yard. She is complaining about having 3 jeeps and a car and a pickup on/in front of her property. Oh, and I may be getting another pickup from my boss. A guy was going to give him one and he never went to get it. He is going to call and see if he still has it and said he might just give it to me if !
the guy hasn't already gotten rid of it.
