It is a very easy swap to put the vacuum line in, just get it with the trans. Electric kickdown is really not that big a deal for a car guy, just pull it down into second. Also if the parts car is a 67, just get the swtch setup from it. IIRC the 67 is still shaft linkage on the throttle. The 67 linkage should bolt right into the 65. The cable on the older car is getting hard to find. I would try to move up to the vacuum system if possible for a driver car.
