Re: Concord Turn Signals THANKS!

I guess I'll be finding out about the 65 for sure at some point as it has the typical cowl corner rust and I want to strip out the dash and do it right the first time. One of the reasons I would like to get the 65 "h" car is it has factory A/C and a good dash pad except for one crack by the speaker. The pad on mine is toast!

>That's good to know Joe! The 63-64 Classic/Ambo (not sure about the 65-66) has a special windshield gasket that also fills the gap between the edge of the dash panel and windshield. You can't get under that thing! You can't get that gasket as a replacement either. The replacement has the same lip all the way around. I suspect it's just an enlarged American gasket. I've never replaced the windshield on a 64+ American so wasn't sure if you could get to the screws or not. The angle of the screws will make it difficult on the 63-64 Classic -- they go straight down in relation to the dash -- screwdriver needs to stick vertically through the windshield opening. Could possibly get them out with a offset screwdriver, or better a 1/4" ratchet w/ screwdriver bit (I ussualy use a 1/4" socket and a screwdriver bit). But it would still be a big PITA!! In fact, I don't think I'd even try it!
