Someone desperate for the rivets to complete a 1000 point resto will probably pay that much. In your case Doc, I'd just use plain old rivets. You have the title and other documentation to prove that's the VIN for your car. A simple "I changed the dash" explanation would suffice for any questions, plus the proof of ownership. Most people won't even notice the rivets aren't the "rosette" type, even insurance and police officers. We've already discussed the technicalities and realities of the VIN change/rebody situation, no point in going over it all again. Were they at the last supper or did they come down from the mountain with Moses and the 10 commandments. The only reason I am swapping vin # is I am replacing the old crumbling original dash with a nice used one. I think I will use one listers idea and grind off the bottom of the rivet and epoxy the tag rivet heads and all to the new dash. 100$ for 2 rivets is insane and that is not the Rambler mentality speaking either!!! > "Doc" ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
