Interesting parallels here in Aus as well because AMI (Australian Motor industries) assembled Ramblers & Mercs Therefore some interior materials and paint colours were shared. You also see Triumph's & Toyotas with the same hub caps etc as well. I have heard that the assembly line workers loved assembling the Toyota's but hated work on the Ramblers due in some part to the short assembly runs they did. You'll find a similar setup on 60s and early 70s > Mercedes Benz models (at least on some), and some late 50s Back in 1974, with my new-to-me '62 Ambassador 400, the resemblance to the same-year Mercedes-Benz was obvious. Clearly not a coincidence! There's all sorts of parallels and similarities. 62 to 63 is a real sea change in style for AMC, they dumped the stodgey and got modern. -- No virus found in this incoming message.
