It was an Eliminator model. Could have been a late 87 or even an early one, no telling why the connector wasn't there. Harness could have been changed due to electrical problems under warranty to a later model early in the truck's life. Everything looked pretty much untampered with, except for the placement of the light pole or tree behind the front bumper...
