Re: AMC15/ Dana 30

Correct on all counts Armand. Most people would object to the noise. The limited slip in my D44 (Jag) axle is making the "ratchet" sound now. I think a spring broke. Other than noise it works fine, including nicely locking up when needed. I can tell because the car goes sideways to the right so easy on wet pavement it isn't funny -- almost dangerous! If one tire were spinning it would tend to stay straight (like it did when I had a standard diff). I "goosed" it one day making a u-turn to the right to sling the back around on wet pavement and ended up putting on a show -- instead of 90* the car slung around ~135*! To the left it wouldn't go so far.
