But at least good news! I've been moving the family, now taking
a few days vacation. This is the first time I've got to a computer

Glad you're getting time of finally, good timing with the start of summer too!

I got the head on today. Everythign went right, but one head bolt
scared me... I ran a die over them all, cleaned up OK and sealer
on the one into the water jacket.

I've got an '82 (or later) intake, the aluminum job. I kept the
EGR setup (I had blocked it off, but decided to re-install it). I
reinstalled the manifolds as a unit, lazy. Made this harder.

Got most of the accessories on, will complete tomorrow. Hope to
fire it up.

While picking up the headgasket this morning, I got an extra 5
quarts of cheap 10W-30. I figure I'll run that first, change it
after the engine gets hot. If there's little or no white foam I'll
leave it in 100 miles or so. I'll play that by ear.
