A: Unless it goes too deep and bottoms out (it doesn't with the Mopar trans) the only trouble you may run into is the starter going in too deep and chewing up the flexplate. Been there and it wasn't funny at the time. My repair idea? I trimmed the plate so I had just the piece around the starter, and now I find that Motormite has one on the HELP! rack (PS: That repair part is coming up on the obsolete sheet soon, so grab one for a spare now if you think you'll need it!) From: "Todd Wallis" <cyclone@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Need Transmission Help Date: Sat, 28 May 2005 20:59:53 -0500 I installed a BW M12 behind a 70 360 today but like a dumb-ass I neglected to put the metal plate between the engine and transmission. If I can run it for a few weeks while I get my other trans rebuilt I would like to but I don't want to damage anything. Any advice? TW
