IIRC all the mineral based "high temp" brake fluids are compatible with plain old DOT 3. It's just the silicone fluid (DOT 5?) that isn't. Just read the containers on the parts store shelf -- they have warnings if not compatible. The high temp stuff usually warns that temp will be reduced when mixed with lower temp fluids.
