well, just got ANOTHER message!! Looks like some of the FSJ guys have got on board and are trying to find someone who can go help this guy anyway. Glad someone more familiar with them is jumping in! So looks like it is still a "go" to help this guy. John at www.wagoneers.com is trying to organize a summer "meeting" in NC just for this. Will keep everyone posted. A couple people (myself included) have offered up some funds but can't go. Once a date gets set I'll post again. She says I have spent my life helping others whenever possible and never accepting payment in return. It's always been my philosophy that people should help others in any way possible, our whole society would change for the better if people would just help each other and I have raised my sons to be the same way. It's just difficult to be the one needing help after being the one who gave it all those years. I'm not sure what my responsibilities would be in a "jeep fest" but if people want to help I would be very appreciative. Just let me know what needs to be done on my part. Having a neck injury has been a very humiliating problem for the last eight years, to look at me most people think I am perfectly normal but damaged disks in my neck keep me from doing most things others take for granted. One thing for sure around here is a great place to bring your family for vacation. T! wo really nice main beaches with several smaller beaches as well. We are supposed to be the restaurant capital of the east coast, with lots of championship level golf courses. Myrtle Beach is only a 60 minute drive away but we don't have all the topless bars and such around here. this area is very much family orientated. Well, it would need quite a bit of work, I'm afraid! I am more comfortable with simply selling it or even giving it away if necessary. I've gone over it as closely as I can and too much of the body is gone to really justify anymore work. I do appreciate everyone's willingness to help but I really think it's too late. > > Michael > > > On May 16, 2005 Frank Swygert wrote: > > > A much better idea: anyone on the list in the area? I'll donate $40 to the cause if someone will go down and give the truck a once over and run a new fuel line for the guy. To far for me or I'd do it myself! He's not asking for this, he's trying to find the truck a new home. I'd like to see it fixed to give him at least 2-3 more years of beach running before he is forced to sell it. Whoever works on it can leave him a number and ask for first dibs when he does need to sell. Any takers? I'll cross post this to the AMC Forum as well. > > > > > > On May 15, 2005 Jim B wrote: > > > > > Moontanman@xxxxxxx <Moontanman@xxxxxxx> > > > > > > > > > I have a 79 Cherokee chief I need to sell.
