Re: American/Hornet PB booster

There are two different stand-off mounts though. The one I'm referring to has a bell crank between the booster and pedal rod. It moves the booster up and away. The other type moves the booster away from the firewall at an angle instead of using a bell crank. The MC is tilted back a bit. I'm pretty sure the 71-74 Javelin used that one, but not positive. The only one I know for sure used the angled mount is the Matador Coupe. The big Mat/Ambo used the up and away mount through 78. I think the Hornets use the angled mount also. I should have said "straight through the firewall" (long rod from booster straight through firewall to the pedal) instead of "against the firewall" mount. Thanks for pointing this out!! Even though we still haven't decided for sure which the Hornt/Concord et. al. has...

I know the Javelins and Rebel/Matador/Ambassador models had the stand-away mount, and I've seen quite a few Concords with a stand-away mount...at the moment I can't remember how the booster mounts in my Spirit, but I seem to recall it having a stand-away booster as well. I remember having plenty of clearance when doing something with the rally-pack wiring where it came through the firewall just above the booster.
