Moontanman@xxxxxxx <Moontanman@xxxxxxx> I have a 79 Cherokee chief I need to sell. It was been my companion for many years and more great times have been had due to this truck than I could describe in anything less than a novel. It has a newly rebuilt 400 turbo hydro-matic automatic transmission, Quadra trac with low range, new CV joint, new rear break drums and before the fuel line leak, which I cannot seem to find, the engine ran great. Dana 44 axles front and rear, and leaf springs. I am sure someone who can do the work could turn it back into the great 4X4 it once was. I am disabled now and really can't work on it like I used to. I had hoped to get it fixed before my problems got so much worse I couldn't fix it so I could continue to use it to surf fish, beach comb and camp. I love this truck and all the good times we've had together. From Cape Hatteras to Fort Fisher on the coast and trips to the mountains it has been my vehicle of choice for many years. My health just keeps me from working on it like I used to and being on disability retirement means I don't have the money to pay someone else to fix my truck. I had planned to use my declining years driving up and down the beach fishing and picking up sea shells for the rest of my life. It breaks my hear I won't have access to the beach in my old age like I had planned but as you all know life is what happens to you while you are making other plans. The body is rusted pretty bad but that never bothered me much as long as it got me there and back every time like it usually did. Now it just sits in my yard waiting for another driver to enjoy it like I used to. It breaks my heart to give it up but maybe someone else can enjoy it as much as I did for all these years. I would like to have $750 for it and it will have to picked up locally here in New Hanover County, in South Eastern North Carolina. I live in Wilmington, NC. Send back to me on or off this list if you are interested in looking at it. My wife will tie me up inside while you haul it away so you won't have to watch me cry as it leaves ;-) Let me know if anyone is interested. Michael Hissom
