Note that the AMC 20 used a clutch plate style unit. You should investigate a rebuild kit price before jumping. I found out that shortly after putting a used one in it will likely develop a problem if you don't! Mine worked fine for a while, now sounds like a Detroit locker when I go around a curve and decelerate at the same time. A little power to it and it stops. I suspect a weak/broken spring somewhere. Jeepers tell me it's nothing that will cause any internal damage, just noise. Anyone have any other experience?
