A: Crank spacer, special flexplate (modded GM one)and same starter as the 
'77 AMX I parted. (the flexplate and starter in my '73 J4000 were both 
toasted from the PO attempting to start the seized motor)

FYI, actually you can only run a Buick Nailhead Turbo 400 trasnw ith that 
adapter. I believe you also need  a crank spacer and there may be a special 
nose on the starter too.
I haven't actually taken mine apart yet.
