T-5 beware the used parts!

I just wanted to let you guys know I got the second box of T-5 parts.
My findigs are that this second pile is definitely good useable stuff, except for the input.
Which is GM F-body and while it is arguably useable, there is no way I will do so!
It has pitting in the centers of the teeth that may pass the BorgWarner recomendations for reuse. But I got a NEW cluster with this lot and the Input gear is tha main drive gear in all gears except 4th which locksout this gear. So it will be under load a lot.
I'm not going to do much of anything right now. I'm going to concentrate on the last few items needed to get the car on the road. Then sometime later this summer of fall I will order a new Ford input and be done with it.
The used sellers I have dealt with have both been foud on Ebay and both of them lied to me about the condition of the parts they had to sell to some extent. Both had better than 100 feedback and 100% positive. True used gears can be viewed differently by different people, but new gears are still available. I would recomend going that route when building. Especially if your looking to use older Non world class close ratio T-5 stuff. The torque load on these gears out of a heavy F-body and 305 is too high. The majority of what you find used will be worn out.
The 83-84 Mustang stuff may fair better, But I would recomend buying new from Ariel Gear.
That's where I'm going for the remainder of my needs!
I'm going to end up with more in this then I planned, but still less then half of what Z-spec trans would cost. I'm not racing, so I'm not worried.
I figure to use the Ford input because it will be easier due to length issues.
That way, if I break it later I can bolt in a Ford trans and be backon the road quick.
I will be glad when this week is done and I can get some time in on my car!
Two more recitals and a Union meeting this week eat up after work hours.
After those I'm mostly done with overtime till June 9th!
Only 62.5 hours last week!
