Just for your reference Mark, that front axle mounts EXACTLY like a 4x4 front axle. Same arms, spring locations, etc. It even uses 4x4 axle steering knuckles and bearings on the ends! AMC just used a single piece of axle tube between the 4x4 ends to come up with the 2WD XJ/MJ. Pretty good thinking! I don't think there's a special part in there, though the hubs, bearings, and/or stub axles on the ends might be different than 4x4, not 100% sure. Saved from a Smallblock swap, YES! Anyway. I can probably get the front axle and driveshaft Etc from it if it would help. > I will probably try and pick up the front axle no matter what.
