No, that "concern" is more for the people showing such "other" powered cars at the local cruise-ins and all makes shows. I think it's a minor concern though. Like you said, the ignorant remain so because THEY DON'T CARE to be educated, or value their own opinions (not facts!) more than what they see as other's. Real car people will at least listen to you when you say AMC made their own engines, even if they don't believe right away. It's hard to throw out a notion you've had/been told for years because one person says different! We can't do a lot about that, and I personally don't think an LT-1 in a 59 Rambler (there's one in the works, but it's a full frame car -- everything between the rockers was cut out!) will make a difference. When it's a newer engine under the hood it's pretty obvious the car didn't come with it! Most swaps have newer engines, a few even crate engines. So I don't think swaps perpetuate the "All Makes Car" myth, ignorant people do!
