From: farna@xxxxxxx "John, I think you and Jeff are on the same wavelength here, just parallel and not on the same plane, apparently! At least I'm seeing that you both agree on this..." I think we're close, too...much more agreed on than not. Heck, none of my AMCs has ever been in a judged contest. And only my old '65 Classic was ever on a show field (where, at a mixed meet, I repeatedly heard that 1- 'those cars were crap' (with a Vega right alongside me?) and 2- 'that's a Ford six in there' said one boob to his wife, trying to educate her about vintage cars. I'm not even a AMO member. I'm just expressing a personal view as a car show visitor. It's AMO's leadership and members that have earned the right to decide for themelves what can and can't be shown. I don't think the club should 'have to' grant equal status to cars that are not equal. If they allow them to be shown at all, kudos for the flexibility. If they don't, I'm fine with that, too. But a clear separation of 'AMC-powered' and 'Non-AMC- powered' should be maintained, just as 'stock' and 'customized' should be maintained. John
