As I'm not picking up any sarcasm in that statement, I
No, no sarcasm. I can see it both ways. A few people have chimed in here how they like the mix of less-common cars, that tend to collect around the edges, and I agree 100%.
Socially, mix'm'up would probably be more fun. I'm not into engine performance as my main focus; that's a world unto itself. But neither am I a restorer, and at most meets I go to, the other "early" non-performance Ramblers are resto-nuts, and cringe at my wanton hole-drilling.
(My 63 Classic though mechanically sweet is umm a bit rough-looking, and since for a few years now it's been my only AMC it's what I bring, though no one is impressed, and people don't always wanna park next to me :-) That embarrassment will end with the Hornet, I hope!)
, again, I'm not talking about judging of cars, as certainly, an AMX is best compared against another AMX When points are in the mix.
Well, usually there's one field, a mix of social hanging-out and judging, so in the few events I've attended, the cars are in judging order, and hanging out is informal. I think a lot of the ordering business is simply logistics, park 'em once and get the job over with :-)
See...it ain't all arguing, folks! Sometimes, we actually discuss!! :)
