Subject: EAGLE KAMMBACK - to save or not to save - To: "hh7x@xxxxxxxxxxx" <hh7x@xxxxxxxxxxx> From: John McEwen <moparrr@xxxxxxx> Subject: Found Eagle Kammback To: AMC List <mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Hello everyone: Hello John ! Yes - it is a RARE item regardless of having a 4 or a 6. Since it isn't rusted - you're ahead of the game. Being that Engine swaps are the Topic - there are a few different bolt ins you can persue which will up your power notably since one of the engines Eagles came with was GM ..... . I have my 1981 Kammback that is undergoing some well earned freshening this year. http://bb.1asphost.com/millham/kammback/ Above is the Kammback site - so check it and if you choose to save the Eagle series50 post the Information. If you decide not to - let me know the particulars & will post it to the Eagle List :: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AMC_Eagle/ so someone else can leap on it. Brien. NEW YORK eagle registry #501 eagle kammback registry http://bb.1asphost.com/millham/kammback/ I've found an Eagle Kammback sitting behind a house at the side of the driveway. It has four flat tires and, according to a neighbor, has been sitting for about 20 years but that it was driven in and parked. The car is not in bad shape - weathered but not rusted or dented. By decoding the ID number, I've determined that it is an '81, four cylinder, 4 x 4 with automatic, DL model. It is quite complete except for the hood badge which someone appears to have pulled off. Is this worth pursuing and what's it worth (realistically, given the amount of work probably necessary to get it back on the road). John
