You could have a U-joint going bad. Check the brakes also, could have a broke or loose spring in a drum. You really need to localize the noise though. With the car on the lift, take a long screwdriver or steel rod and hold it against your ear with the other end touching where you think the sound could be coming from. Sound travels through a solid better than the air. Should be loudest nearest the source. Once you figure out where the sound is coming from you can start thinking about the cause and repair.
