Andrew (and I!) thought about the same thing as far as a CV joint goes. This was a problem addressed specifically by AMC. Maybe the box of literature I had in Korea has a copy of the TSB from an old Rambler Reader (AMCRC publication). I'll be getting that box this weekend, but if someone has a copy of the TSB they could scan and e-mail me or send (e-mail for an address) I'd appreciate it. I have the angles very close, but one would think with the Jag axle it wouldn't be as bad since the angle never changes. I had the shaft shortened (Jeep XJ shaft w/Chevy end on the back -- Jag uses standard Chevy joints), so maybe the balance is off. Will check that if nothing else comes up. The rear trans seal has started leaking, so that might be the problem (out of balance driveshaft). It sort of looks like a harmonic balancer one tube in another with rubber in between it. A CV/double u-joint configuration may do the trick too. > > Mark Price > mpriceAtwestco.net > Morgantown, WV > 69 AMC rambler, 4.0L, EFI, 5 speed > 65 Ambassador Conv, 327 AUTO, Basketcase > 01 S-10 CREWCRAP 4X4 > > > > ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- > From: adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Sandwich Maker) > Reply-To: mail-From-mprice-westco.net@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Date: Tue, 12 Apr 2005 09:23:33 -0400 (EDT) > > >" From: farna@xxxxxxx > >" > >" I won't have my TSMs and other books for quite a while, so maybe > >" someone here can help me out.
