Thanks for the information Mark, Yeah in fact my T5 does have both neutral safety and back-up reverse light switch. I will have to adapt the wiring to those switches somehow. I think I will hook up the neutral safety, it makes more sense to me to have a neutral safety when starting the car than a clutch disengaged safety which may put non-lubricated pressures against the thrust bearing in the engine during start up. Then I would need to find neutral and leave the clutch disengaged to start the engine, which would prevent an in gear start-up, and safeguard the thrust bearing too. Am I thinking correctly on this? Armand Two wires will be neutral safety switch, connect them together. Two wires will be reverse lights, connect them to the reverse light switch on the side of the T-5. Some T-5's have a neutral switch IIRC. I would not use it as you will be required to put the trans in the neutral position to start the car. That's a choice you will have to make. Most manual trans cars do not have any form of neutral safety switch.
