Well, I'm finally at Dover Delaware! I'm planning on driving a bit Saturday, not sure if John Rosa (in New Jersey) is busy or close enough to drive to or not, sent him a personal e-mail. If I don't hear from him, is anyone close enough to the area who wouldn't mind me stopping by? I have my Rambler as my only car for the moment, so will be driving it. Still need to get some things fixed! I didn't even realize it was Easter weekend until I stopped by work this morning to find a few people took off for Good Friday! It's been pretty hectic the last few weeks oming back from overseas. Speaking of my Rambler, I had to do some work on it yesterday. Dropped the Jag rear axle assembly. Seems a couple of the rubber bushings I'd used were just about gone, causing a lot of "losseness" in the rear end. It was a bit hard to hold on the road with the camber changing slightly in the rear with every lean and twitch in the road! Side winds was especially difficult. So I removed the bushings and bolted the differential in solid. The bushings were keeping some gear noise out of the car, but I really need a new set of gears -- the used ones I have were slightly burned when I installed them. But it's sure nice to have a tight a$$ in the rear of the car!! ;> Tracks wonderfully and cornering is just fantastic! I just HAVE to get stiffer springs for the front now!!
