The information just posted is correct. I did located a investing partner and plant manager of the solargen venture. He is very willing to work with me on the restoration project. He states that most of the cars went to Calif, some to the major cities on the east coast. This unit has a 28 H.P. motor, capable of 58 miles per hour. Running time is about 4-6 hrs, with charging equal to useage. this gentleman stated that many of the cars he kept track of logged over 90,000 miles. He states that this unit was a test only and never hit the retail market. It was tested in Penn.then return to the plant. He also stated that the original 258 engine or engines may still be available. I realize many philosophies will come into play concerning this unit. I will state that my intentions are to have it remain as a electric car, and to be used as show only. As I told my wife, we got this thing to save gas cuz we just bought a 1000 H.P. off shore racer..I don't have logic at times! . As stated, the list is welcome to participate in this venture of restoration, theory of improvement. there are some wonderful minds out there.
