I've got single barrel off of a 73 258. You can make it work but you have to do some fiddling with things IIRC it is taller then the stock carb and you must remove the spacer from under the stock carb and bolt this carb directly to the intake. The you have to juggle some vacuum lines around. If your looking for a bolt on, you want the stock replacement carb.
 A friend of mine had one setup on his for years and was quite happy with it.
$10 plus shipping for the carb if you want to fool with it.
