Re: T-10 Transmissions

Steve-both your transmissions are the same gear ratios, 2.23:1 1st, 1.77:1, 2nd, 1.35:1 third. The "V" you mention at the end of the part# is the "series" ID, which gives you the gear ratio. I believe the earlier AMC (66-68?) T-10's had the more desirable 2.64:1 first gear ratio. The letter for this series is either a W or an X (don't know which one AMC used,) so if you have a T-10 with a part # that ends with a W or X, then you have the 2.64:1 first gear ratio (second and third gears vaied slightly between the W & X series T-10's), but I don't know which one AMC used (maybe both?).
