(the aluminum spacer has been known to crack during rough offroading. AMHIK! <G>) As for the seat spring, I replaced mine with a lawnchair strap and some small springs I had laying around. Took a couple tries to get it feeling right (those seats ended up in my '83 Cherokee) From: Marty Bricker <mbrickerusn@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: 83 Eagle questions To: AMC List <mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Not unique to my SX/4 but have the fol problems: -power steering has quite a bit of play (ie with wheels straight ahead, steering wheel can be turned between 11:00 and 1:00 w/o moving wheels). Is there a way to tighten this up? -drivers seat is missing the rear most spring in the bottom cushion. Anyone know where to purchase a replacement or have a spare? Thanks.
